“Morton—At Moodyvile, at 7 a.m., August 29, Mrs. Mary Morton, wife of the late Alexander Morton, formerly of New Mills, N.B. Funeral service 2 p.m. on Monday, 31st inst., at the first Presbyterian Church, Vancouver. Please bring no flowers.”

“The death occurred on Saturday last at Moodyville of Mrs. Mary Morton, an old-time resident of that burg. The deceased had been ill for a long time past, and death came as a final relief to her sufferings. Mrs. Morton was sixty-nine years of age, and was well known in Moodyville. The funeral took place this afternoon, the remains being interred in the Mountain View Cemetery. The services were conducted by the Rev. R.G. MacBeth.”
