• Moved, Oct 1942, West Vancouver, BC. Bought 2148 Argyle house September 16, 1942. Address then: Hollyburn Post Office.

• Occupation: aircraft inspector for Boeing Vancouver Division: Vancouver, BC. during WW ll. In January 1945, John started work for the Powell River Pulp & Paper Company. In the 1960's he was Sales Manager of the New Westminster Plant, Corrugated Container Division of MacMillan Bloedel Packaging Limited. In 1966 he became Director of the Marketing, Packaging Group in Vancouver, BC until his death in 1971.

• Marriage Fact: Discrepancy in Dates. Wedding invitations and common belief was that the marriage occurred on September 6, 1941 in Victoria but the Marriage Certificate states November 7th as the wedding date. John married Dorothy Jane Pearson, daughter of James Gibson Pearson and Marjorie Sutherland Henderson, on 7 Nov 1941 in New Westminster, BC. (Dorothy Jane Pearson was born on 2 Mar 1923 in San Jose, Costa Rica, christened on 16 Apr 1923 in San Jose, Costa Rica and died on 8 Apr 2003 in North Vancouver, BC.) The cause of her death was Cancer and other medical complications.
